On-line Game Round
Creative Round: Be creative now!
Dear freshhh2010 Participants,
WE ARE IMPRESSED! Thank You all for the valuable contributions, for your exciting and interesting games, for your freshhh Junior :) ideas in the Creative Round!
Our evaluator body included MOL Group top managers, experts and secondary school students. Each work was evaluated by at least 4 evaluators. The committee had a really exciting but hard task to choose the best works.
The evaluators have worked along the following criteria:
- Level of focus on secondary schools (to what extent the competition suits the target group)
- Suitability as a teaching tool to learn more about sciences, professions, industries (including of course oil and gas, petrochemical and energy industry), practice teamwork and some medium English language
- Development potential for secondary school students regardless of their professional orientation
- Level of competition and rules clarity (how clear, complex, playable and practical the proposed competition is)
- Level of idea preparation (to what extent the idea is developed:
- given real tasks and well explained rounds which can give the opportunity students to face an exciting team competition where they can learn about sciences, professions, industries, practice teamwork and some medium English language
- communication and timing schedule
- given elements that could help to roll out the competition on international level )
- Level of creativity and idea freshness :) (to what extent the competition is unique, unusual or attracts attention)
- Fun factor
- Synergies with "freshhh" for university students (any image/content/process connection)
Some general feedbacks:
- We really appreciate your demonstrated energy and high value creative works prepared within a very limited time period. There are a lot of work that worth to use further and contains particularly freshhh :) ideas. Thank you for sharing with us! We enjoyed them very much and we hope that you had also enjoyable time preparing them.
- The selected finalists excelled in areas that other teams may have developed better: , structure and clarity of rules, descriptions; “playability”(to what extent can people understand the competition), holistic view; covering all reqiured point of view;
- According to the task description, proposals for secondary school students should have been more focused on the need of reusability as a teaching/life sciences marketing tool.

Your ‘freshhh2010’ Support Team
Dear „freshhh2010” participants,
It was a pleasure to see your skills, motivation and endurance during the 1st, on-line round! Congratulations for those teams that qualified themselves to the 2nd, creative round! You did a good job! (And we really enjoy being your Support Team again :) )
The next round gives you an opportunity to mobilize your creativity and leave your „real footprint” on MOL Group „freshhh….” competition series.
Your task is to design „freshhh2011 Junior” competition.
Please use your experience(s), feel free to shape the concept, structure, image, etc. of the competition. The best solutions should, however, follow some basic guidelines:
„freshhh2011 Junior”
- MOL Group - as a leading Hungarian and regional player – realized that secondary school students require much more information about their future opportunities and choice of professions.
Secondary school students (and their parents) appreciate „real life” stories, information about employers with need for bright, motivated employee and broader picture on career opportunities.
MOL Group is ready to help secondary school students in their development regardless of their professional orientation.
This is the first time MOL Group organises „freshhh…Junior” ! - 16-18 year students can not be expected deep knowledge in any science or industry. The key objective of the competition is to involve them into an exciting team competition where they can learn about sciences, professions, industries (including of course oil and gas, petrochemical and energy industry), practice teamwork and some medium English language ( (Of course, your ideas, proposal should be submitted in English regardless of proposed competition language.)
Please give us a detailed concept, with real tasks, well explained rounds. Considering that it will be a kind of teaching tool, but should have a significant fun factor as well . - The communication should be on-line as much as possible (except event(s) that require face-to-face contact).
- The timing should take into consideration secondary students workload, learning scheme/regime different from universities (we hope you still remember :) ) and the official education schedule (incl. regular school holidays, school year timeframe, etc.).
- This first „pilot” competition is going to be run in Hungary. Based on the learning points and feedbacks MOL would like to run.freshhh…junior on international level! Therefor please design the necessary elements that help MOL to roll-out this ’Junior competition’.
Your proposals/solutions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Level of creativity
- Completeness and professionalism of your design
- Level of details of your proposals.
- „Fun factor”, attractiveness for secondary school students
- Level of focus on natural sciences, engineering, oil & gas, petrochemical, energy industry, team effort and competition quality/professionalism.
- Resource needs for detailed design, preparation, communication organisation, competition support and evaluation
We are sure that your years spent in secondary schools, your – sometimes two or even three year - experience in „freshhh…” competition is a good basis for putting together a creative, sound, attractive – and competitive - proposal, considering:
- 9:00 (GMT), 29th March submission deadline
- Standard document formats (MS Word/Powerpoint/Excel, PDF, JPG, MPEG/AVI, WinZip)
- Indication for any special technical preparation need for the Live Final presentation (in case you qualify yourself).
- We receive your material by email at info(a)freshhh2010.net. One attachment can be max. 25MB per email.
Your Support Team is available for any questions, as usual. :)
Have fun and good luck!
Your „freshhh2010” Support Team

Preparation for the Final: For the first part (morning) of the Final we expect you to prepare a MAXIMUM 10-MINUTE presentation/performance for the Live Final. The aim of the presentation is to “sell” your “junior freshhh” ideas to the MOL Group. It means that you should make a presentation/performance imagining that you are the organizer team (as you could be) and your audience consists of leaders and experts of MOL Group (as it will).
To help you a bit with the preparation work on the Live Final you can expect a jury consisting of around 7 managers and cc. 30-50 guests (inquisitive experts/colleagues). You can use any material, visual aid, illustration etc (but no fluids, no fire, do not litter). Please let us know if you need any equipment or tool. Please do not forget that you have 10 minutes time for your performance. Because of the tight time schedule of the Final you will be stopped after 10 minutes. Take care of it!
Please note our creative round’s evaluation criteria on the website, and improve your presentation according to them!
In case you want to show us films or not standard documents during your presentation, you are responsible for ensuring the needed codec, converters etc. or a special laptop if it is needed. We have standard notebooks with XP and standard (not the newest) environment.
Important! You should send your presentation to the info@freshhh2010.net till 28th April 12:00 GMT.
The other main task of the Final is the simulation. You and your teammates will manage a virtual gas station. Your tasks are to analyze data and make strategic decisions as the managers of the gas station. Next week you make a test decision to try out the simulation and to assist the preparing of your strategy. The details will be delivered to you on 22th April by e-mail.
In the afternoon you will be given exciting tasks – let us surprise you!
Have fun and good luck! It’s your turn!

About the evaluation criteria please read the description in the Rounds.
Congratulation to all of you for your participation and those who qualified themselves for the Live Final - see you in Budapest, on 6th May 2010
